Q3 Week 6 -Editing

Some titles and fonts that are going to be used are of Sci-Fi origins. This can be exampled by the "Chiller" font and or the "Smack" font. Both of these are exampled in word and give a strange and unknown feeling about them. 



Video effects that are used are weather elements such as an older film reel and rustic feel. 

Transitions are smooth cuts in between the transition to the human being and the Alien. There are also quick cuts that relive the experience of fear and tension in between the human being and the chase of the Alien. 

Audio effects such as a slurred speech of the human, due to the tired nature of the human.

Some problems are the cuts in between editing. This can be exampled by the photo of our editor where he is struggling with the hallway scene and creating an in depth scene of all these scenes put together.

We basically were able to take all these films and cut them into very small pieces that will provide the transitions needed. 

We spent at least 4-6 hours on editing this week.

Reid was our main editor. With some help with filming and camera angles by Khang and myself (Josh).

We did spend some time in the courtyard, in which it helped to narrow down the choices of places to film throughout the filming process.

 AICE Media Studies Reason to take the class: One of the main reasons why I ended up taking this class is mostly because of some of the recommendations I got for this specific class. Throughout my Junior Year I have had people come up to me and have me or my class in one of their films for this "AICE Media" class. And honestly at the time I didn't know what they were talking about, however, through some discussions I finally figured out that it was more like a hands on type of class rather then just sitting there and reading a textbook. 5 Master Edits w/ Khang

  https://youtu.be/KNRE1FTJHPE This is Khang Tran’s and Joshua Listrom’s 5 master edits. First off, the contrast edit. In this specific scene you can almost notice the amount of enormous effort being put into writing an assignment onto this paper. As the student seems like he is working his day away, you can see a clear transition into what he truly wants to be doing. In this case, it’s scrolling through TIK TOK! Secondly, the Ideal shot of parallelism where it shows two separate people living there own lives in their everyday high school hallway. As this scene goes further it displays the similarities but also differences within each footstep. Creating a more streamlined type of parallelism!  In this example we are showing symbolism, which in short is the similarities within the two different shots.
